The farm uses the science curriculum provided by the state for schools to follow to create and align our programming with what the schools are doing. We then use the farm as a classroom to help reinforce the science being taught in schools. We use our gardens, fields, barns and classrooms to help achieve this goal. The farm is run by a volunteer board and hired it's first executive director to continue to push forward the farms mission.
To provide science based outreach educational programming for children and adults using the farm as the classroom. The 4-H center has been working with children and families for over 35 years. We have been volunteer run during that time and have relied heavily on volunteers to complete many of the farms needs. We have been involved in Day of Caring since the early 90s and get a lot of mileage out of all the volunteers helping us. Day of Caring is our biggest clean up day before our annual fall festival.
