United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut

Who We Are

United Way Community Investment focuses on:

  • Education: When our children are ready for kindergarten and stay on track to graduation, they are better prepared for the future and contribute to stronger and more vibrant communities.
  • Financial SecurityWhen families have the tools to be financially stable and independent, neighborhoods become stronger, our schools improve, and our businesses prosper.
  • Health: When our neighbors are healthy, they can focus on what’s important—at home, at school and at work. Health is a key building block for a strong community.
  • Basic Needs: When our basic needs are met, we are healthier, more financially stable, our kids do better in school, and our communities are stronger and more vibrant.

These priorities are interconnected and allow us to provide opportunities for a better life for all.

What We Do

United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut serves the 40-town region by mobilizing people and organizations to give, advocate and volunteer to help children succeed, ensure families are healthy and financially secure, and provide access to basic needs.

United Way Community Investment– the choice for positive change – is the giving option focused on creating opportunities for a better life for all.

It takes all of us working together to create change, which includes our partner agencies, along with hundreds of businesses, and tens of thousands of individuals across our 40-town region.

We invite you to join us and improve lives for children and families. You can give, you can advocate and you can volunteer. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
