Join us to help young students succeed this summer. As part of Hartford’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, this program is one way volunteers and United Way are helping children succeed. As a volunteer you will help keep kids on track and avoid the summer slide by encouraging regular reading, discussing books, and helping them access reading incentives through the program.
You can sign up below to volunteer at the following schools; all volunteers must pre-register:
Asian Studies Academy at Bellizzi; Tuesday mornings; 215 South Street, Hartford
Alfred E. Burr Elementary School; Tuesday or Thursday mornings; 400 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford
Our United Way is a proud leader in the local Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The program is one way we help hard-working ALICE households succeed by ensuring their children learn to read by fourth grade. Learn more at unitedwayinc.org/ALICECT.
