Join us to help young students succeed this summer. Sign up for one (or more) session to discuss books that students have read and then help log them into the Hartford Public Library summer reading program.
As part of Hartford’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, this program is one way volunteers and United Way are helping children succeed. As a volunteer you will help keep kids on track and avoid the summer slide by encouraging regular reading, discussing books, and helping them access reading incentives through the program.
Our United Way is a proud leader in the local Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The program is one way we help hard-working ALICE households succeed by ensuring their children learn to read by fourth grade. Learn more at unitedwayinc.org/ALICECT.
